These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BilinCo Trainer (the "Service"), an online training platform operated by BilinCo Language Services LLC, a California limited liability company located in Monrovia, California ("BilinCo," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Description of the Service
BilinCo Trainer is an educational exam-training platform for Mandarin and Cantonese court interpreters. The Service includes practice exam items for sight translation, consecutive interpretation, and simultaneous interpretation; a written exam question bank; legal vocabulary study tools; curriculum lessons; and automated, AI-assisted scoring and feedback developed by a California court-certified interpreter.
BilinCo Trainer is a private study tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Judicial Council of California, the National Center for State Courts (NCSC), or any court, certifying body, or examination authority. Our practice materials are original training content designed to resemble the format of court interpreter examinations; they are not actual exam content. We make no representation or guarantee that use of the Service will result in passing any examination or obtaining any certification.
2. Accounts and Eligibility
To use most features you must create an account. Some practice features can be tried in guest mode, which creates a temporary guest account on your device; these Terms apply to guest use too, and signing in with Google carries your guest progress into your account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current information when registering and keep it up to date;
- Maintain only one account per person;
- Keep your login credentials confidential and not share your account with others;
- Notify us promptly at info@bilinco.net if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. The Service is not directed to children under 16.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically extract content or data from the Service, whether manually or by automated means;
- Share, redistribute, resell, publish, or otherwise make available paid content (including exam items, lesson materials, audio recordings, and AI-generated feedback) to anyone who is not an authorized user of your account;
- Manipulate, game, or falsify scores, streaks, achievements, or leaderboard standings, including by automated submission of practice attempts;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, prompts, or underlying data of the Service except where permitted by law;
- Use the Service to violate any law or the rights of any third party, or interfere with the operation or security of the Service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
4. Paid Plans and Billing
The Service offers a free tier and paid plans: Pro ($19.99 per month), VIP ($39.99 per month), Lifetime ($249.99 one-time), and live courses ($999 for Basics, which includes 6 months of VIP access, and $1,299 for Advanced, which includes 12 months of VIP access). Current pricing is displayed in the Service at the time of purchase.
- Payment processing. All payments are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not store your card numbers.
- Subscriptions. Monthly plans renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You may cancel at any time, and access continues through the end of the paid period.
- Price changes. We may change prices for future billing periods with reasonable advance notice. Price changes do not affect a billing period already paid.
- Taxes. Prices may be exclusive of applicable sales, use, VAT, or similar taxes, which will be charged where required by law.
- Refunds. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
5. User Content and Progress Data
The Service stores your practice renditions, quiz answers, scores, progress, achievements, and any documents you upload (for example, case materials submitted to the Case Prep feature) ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant BilinCo a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you — including transmitting submitted renditions to our AI scoring providers to generate your feedback. You represent that you have the right to upload any documents you submit and that doing so does not violate any confidentiality obligation or court order. Handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Intellectual Property
All content in the Service — including the 588 practice exam items, 470-question written exam bank, 1,230 legal vocabulary terms, 43 curriculum lessons, audio recordings, scoring rubrics, software, and design — is owned by BilinCo Language Services LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service and its content for your own personal, non-commercial exam preparation only. You may not copy, distribute, publicly perform, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit any Service content without our prior written permission.
7. AI-Generated Feedback Disclaimer
Scoring and feedback in the Service are automated and AI-assisted. Free-tier coverage scoring is generated instantly by software, and paid-tier full reports are generated by our AI-assisted scoring engine. AI-generated scores and feedback are indicative training estimates only. They are not an official assessment, do not replicate the judgment of human exam raters, may contain errors, and have no bearing on the result of any actual certification examination. You should not rely on AI feedback as legal, professional, or certification advice.
8. Service Availability; Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that content will be free of inaccuracies. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BilinCo Language Services LLC and its members, officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service or request account deletion at any time by emailing info@bilinco.net. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or where required by law. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 6, 7, 9, and 11) will survive. Refunds upon termination, if any, are governed by the Refund Policy.
11. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under the laws of your place of residence.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of them. The "Effective date" above shows when these Terms were last updated.
